Apple new mobile operating system for its mobile devices iOS 6 was made public by the corporate giant just a few days ago, with many new enhancements and features like Passbook, Facetime on cellular, improved Siri, it was awesome. One of the major update in the latest OS was that it lacks the Google Map, and was replaced by their own navigation app called Apple Maps. As soon as it was made public many drawbacks were put into the limelight which were similar to that of the ones which Google Maps once had during its initial release days. But as we know that Google Maps as of now is the undefeated Champ of the Mapping World, has left many Apple users to find the ways to get the app back, but unfortunately there is no chance, and as the Apple maps rely on the Crowd-sourcing for its update as stated by the Apple, it may get a lot of time to get completely usable.
But there is a way you can enjoy the benefit of the Google map services, by using your browser.
Here is how –
Go to your native Browser and enable the share location option. Then head towards “maps.google.com” and click on the book option located below the screen and place it on your icon rack, rename it to Google maps and you are done.
This is a bit like bookmarking, and till now this is the only way to get the benefit of the Google Map services, but there are rumors that, Google is upto something for the latest version of Apple iOS. Let’s hope that Latest Google Map app gets available soon for the Apple users desperately waiting for it, and does not face the same fate as was done to their Google Voice app for iOS.
